Fresh, home-grown fruits and vegetables are waiting for you at Duyck's Peachy Pig Farm, our family-owned and operated farm in Cornelius, Oregon.
Our mission is to provide quality food to our community while serving as a valuable education resource that will help bridge the “awareness gap” between consumers and farmers about how food is produced.
At our orchard you can pick your own peaches, rhubarb, strawberries, red raspberries, blueberries, marionberries, blackberries, peaches, bell peppers, figs, American and Japanese eggplant, tomatoes, corn leaves, fresh prunes, Halloween pumpkins (in patch and baby pumpkins), decorator cornstalks, walnuts and filberts, in season.
Come in and shop in our indoor farm market!
Our farm is near metropolitan areas, so part of our mission is to communicate the vital role of agriculture to children, teachers, and parents. American grocery stores are brimming with fresh produce from all over the world, but this abundance had also created an awareness gap between consumers and farmers. This lack of education about agriculture is especially prevalent in urban areas. We think we can help change that and make learning about agriculture fun for everyone.
A visit to our farm with your class will bring your children down to earth very quickly. Each group is led by a farmer guide, who takes the children into the fields to learn about how different foods grow. The children have the opportunity to pick a unique item just for them, before a trip into the pumpkin patch to learn about how pumpkins grow. Once each child has picked a small pumpkin for himself or herself, the group will take a fun hike to explore the farm.
We also present a fun-filled walk through the petting zoo to help kids and adults truly connect and understand the experience of farming.
